Summary
Avalduse eesmärk on väljendada Riigikogu seisukohta kõrghariduse ja selle rahastamise olulisuse kohta Eesti pikaaegse majandusarengu ja heaolu tagamisel. Eesti majanduse konkurentsivõime, kvaliteetsed avalikud teenused ja riigi pikaajaline kestlikkus sõltub üha enam kõrgharidusest ning suurema lisandväärtusega töö tegemise võimest. Avalduse kohaselt peab Riigikogu vajalikuks väljendada poliitilist tahet suurendada kõrghariduse rolli Eesti arenguhüppe saavutamisel, mille sihiks on jõudmine heaolu tippliigasse läbi oluliselt kõrgema lisandväärtusega töö.
