Suspend all UK foreign aid to nations that refuse to take back illegal migrants

United Kingdom · UK Parliament · 28 November 2025

Publish a list of countries blocking citizen returns, suspend UK aid until compliance is met, make aid legally conditional on cooperation with UK immigration, report annually to Parliament, and detain illegal migrants until asylum or deportation for public safety. We want this to protect UK taxpayers and public services, uphold border integrity, and ensure accountability. Some countries refuse to repatriate their nationals. We believe this increases pressure on services and contributes to rising crime and violence. We believe Foreign Aid must be conditional on cooperation to stop subsidising obstruction, safeguard communities, and reinforce the UK’s immigration system, ensuring national security and fairness in the use of public funds.

Protect children, families and genuine asylum seekers in new UK asylum reforms

United Kingdom · UK Parliament · 27 November 2025

Ensure new asylum reforms protect children, families and genuine asylum seekers by reducing delays, creating fairer settlement routes and allowing earlier legal work, while targeting criminal smuggling gangs—not vulnerable people—so the system stays fair, humane, safe and workable. The UK’s asylum reforms must stay fair, humane and true to British values of protecting the vulnerable. Families and children escaping danger face years of uncertainty through long waits and 10–20 year settlement routes. A better system needs faster decisions, early legal work rights, clear separation of genuine from non-genuine claims, and enforcement focused on criminal smuggling gangs—not vulnerable people simply seeking safety and stability.Every child deserves safety and hope.

Protect the right to ILR for people to whom you grant refugee status for 5 years

United Kingdom · UK Parliament · 26 November 2025

Those you granted refugee status came to the UK because they had no chance of survival in their own country. You granted them refugee status because you acknowledged they were being persecuted in their own country. Now, forcing them into 20 years of limbo is persecuting them in the UK as well. Once the game has started, the rules can't be changed. You told refugees, "We recognize that you have suffered persecution and injustice, and we're granting you refugee status, allowing you to live in the UK for five years." Then, you told them they could apply for ILR after five years. Now, you're telling them they have to wait 20 years. If these people want to return, they haven't a country to return to. They also can't apply for asylum in another country because they have refugee status.

Keep refugees on the 5-year ILR route and stop plans to extend it to 10 years

United Kingdom · UK Parliament · 25 November 2025

We urge the UK Government to halt plans to raise refugees’ ILR from 5 to 10 years. Any change must not affect those already on the 5-year route, to avoid disrupting lives, employment, healthcare, or family plans, and to uphold fairness and legal certainty. This change would have a serious impact on refugees who are building safe lives in the UK. Applying it to those already on the 5-year route would create uncertainty, disrupt work, healthcare, and family planning, undermine fairness, and diminish their hope and motivation. Any change should apply only to new arrivals, and the Government must consult legal and humanitarian experts to ensure a fair and humane policy.

Protect Existing Refugee Rights From New Rule Changes

United Kingdom · UK Parliament · 25 November 2025

I want the Government to confirm that refugees already granted status under the 5-year route, including those who came legally, will not face new rules. Existing rights, benefits and the original settlement pathway should stay the same, with no retrospective changes. I want the Government to do this because changing rules for people who already have refugee status is unfair and creates fear and instability. Many refugees, including those who came legally, have built their lives based on the rights promised to them. Retroactive changes cause stress, uncertainty and hardship. The Government should protect the commitments already made and give refugees the stability they were guaranteed.
