Summary
Avalduses on kirjas, et ÜRO Globaalne Ränderaamistik on õiguslikult mittesiduv koostööraamistik, seda on rõhutanud ka Eesti Vabariigi õiguskantsler. See on ÜRO liikmesriikide poolt ühiselt läbi räägitud deklaratsioon, mis annab meile võimaluse parandada rahvusvahelist rändealast koostööd, sealhulgas ennetada ebaseaduslikku rännet ja võidelda inimkaubanduse ja -smugeldamisega ning kaitsta Eesti inimeste õigusi välisriikides. Globaalne Ränderaamistik rõhutab fundamentaalset põhimõtet, et igal riigil on suveräänne õigus kujundada oma rändepoliitikat ise kooskõlas rahvusvahelise õigusega. Avalduses tuuakse välja Globaalse Ränderaamistiku põhimõtted, mida Riigikogu toetab. Riigikogu väljendab veendumust, et Raamistiku eesmärgid aitavad kaasa ebaseadusliku rände vastu võitlemisele ja selle vähendamisele, leevendades muuhulgas negatiivseid tagajärgi selle ohvrite jaoks. Eesti Vabariigi Riigikogu toetab ÜRO Globaalse Ränderaamistiku vastuvõtmist.
