Rédiger ainsi cet article : « I. – L’article 521‑1 du code pénal est ainsi modifié : « 1° Au premier alinéa, les mots : « deux ans d’emprisonnement et de 30 000 euros » sont remplacés par les mots : « trois ans d’emprisonnement et de 45 000 euros » ; « 2° Après le premier alinéa, est inséré un alinéa ainsi rédigé : « Lorsque les faits ont entraîné une infirmité permanente ou la mort de l’animal, les peines sont portées à cinq ans d’emprisonnement et à 75 000 euros d’amende. » « II. – Un décret prévoit les modalités d’application du présent article. »
