Summary
Avalduse põhjenduste osas kirjeldatakse ülevaatlikult 1934. aasta ja järgnenud aastate sündmusi, mille tagajärjel vaigistati demokraatlikult valitud parlament, keelustati erakondade tegevus ja allutati ajakirjandus tsensuurile ning kehtestati autoritaarkord. Avalduse resolutsioonis mõistetakse hukka tollane tegevus Eesti põhiseadusliku korra ja demokraatia allasurumisel ning toonitatakse põhiseaduse preambuli sõnadele viidates vajadust hoida ära sellelaadsete sündmuste ja teguviiside kordumine Eestis.
