Require all airlines to ban nuts and nut products on UK flights

United Kingdom · UK Parliament · 28 September 2026

Require all airlines operating flights from the UK to ban the sale and consumption of peanuts, tree nuts and nut-containing products onboard, to reduce the risk of potentially life-threatening allergic reactions and provide consistent protection for passengers. For people with a severe peanut allergy, flying can be extremely frightening because of the risk of exposure to nuts. Airline policies can vary, leaving passengers unsure what protection they will have. I am asking the UK Government to introduce consistent rules banning nuts and nut products on UK flights.
